Congratulations to the Big Blue Machine! We had 11 students make the ATSSB Region 10 All-Region Band! 9 of these sudents qualified to Area and the opportunity to make the Texas All-State Band. Flute - Stephen Matherne (area) and Ashton Goebel (area)

Tuba - Payton Sparks (area)  The ATSSB Region concert will be on December 15 at Silsbee HS auditorium at 5:00pm. Area auditions for the Texas All-State Band are on January 12 in Tyler.

Motivational Speaker William Green will be speaking for our High School students.   William  is a former NFL player from Atlanta that overcame hardships to become a success. Champions don’t give up, they get up!
Rocketing class earns honors On November 7th, students from Mr. Fogo’s Rocket Engineering class were honored for their accomplishments.  SystemsGo Team Leader, Rebekah Hyatt made a special trip to the High School campus to personally deliver a Silver Award banner.  SystemsGo is an innovative high school rocketry/aeroscience curriculum that uses project-based learning to teach science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM); to develop skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership; and to encourage careers in the engineering industries.   The team made up of Collin Moss, Larry Martel, Koby Brooks, and Seth Paris were one of only eight teams to recieve recognition across the state.  The students completed a design and developed a project with two success criteria: rocket on the pad by scheduled date and flight performance that gets a 1.0-lb research package to an altitude of 5,280-ft.
